Yuvraj Singh took his first 5 wicket haul of his career and scored a 50 runs to win the match for India. He became the first player to do so. Viv Richards and Paul Collingwood are the only players to have claimed more than 5 wickets and scored over 100runs in the ODI's.
The match was interesting as India kept on losing wickets in regular intervals while they were chasing. Yuvraj did spin the ball little but kept on varying the pace and the batsmen kept on making elementary mistakes resulting in very soft dismissals. The 2.5 m rule doesnt seem to leave the cricket alone as a similar review off the Yuvi's delivery resulted in the dismissal of Cusack. The impact was over 2.5 m but it was given out by the on field umpire as it went on to hit the stumps. Got to say to Billy Bowden, If this was out then Ian Bell certainly was.
India 210 for 5 (Yuvraj 50*)
beat Ireland 207 (Porterfield 75, Yuvraj 5-31) by five wickets
